We study how to translate emergent AI technologies into AI products and services that can deliver social good in the messy real world. Led by Qian Yang, the DesignAI group at Cornell profiles various AI technologies as a material for human-centered design, and explores new ways to harness their capabilities while minimizing unintended consequences. We are a highly interdisciplinary team with expertise across design, AI, cognitive science, ethics and policy, as well as knowledge in various application domains.
