Led by Qian Yang, the DesignAI studio at Cornell is a design research group focused on human-AI interaction. We study how people experience AI in real-world contexts, identify design opportunities, and prototype interactive systems that open up new possibilities for how people think, create, and care for one another. Our aim is not just to describe problems but to produce generalizable design knowledge — new ways of shaping human-AI interaction that the field can build on.
